bio

I’m an artist and illustrator working in Sacramento, CA. I used to sew leaves together using pine needles and rip apart cardboard into thin strips, forming them into notebooks to draw in.

Now I use colored pencil, ink, and watercolor to draw whimsical landscapes for your eyes to dance in.

I adore Art Deco, Folk Art, and Kitsch.

In Spring, Winter, and Fall I teach the joy of art to high school students. In the Summer I hunker down and get to work finishing my drawings, jewelry, and sewing projects.

I know who I am.
I love who I am.
I like what I do.
I like how I do it.
I like my mistakes.
I like how I learn.
I dont want to be anyone else but me.
This day in my life will never come again.
I will never see the people I am looking at again.
I will never see that sunrise again and I will never see that sunset again.
I will never see that person having breakfast with me again, in just this way.
Nothing in my life will ever come again.
