My Life is Small but it’s Big Enough for Me

8.5x11 Archival Giclee print on Somerset Velvet paper.

Every day on my route home from work I would pass a burgundy mustang with a for-sale sign, parked outside an auto detailing shop. I’d pass by and imagine myself buying it and driving it to work. I’d imagine that would make me like my job more, if I showed up in a shiny, sexy car. We all know it wouldn’t. I couldn’t have it, but I could draw it.

Original drawn in colored pencil on cardstock, 8.5x11

I know who I am.
I love who I am.
I like what I do.
I like how I do it.
I like my mistakes.
I like how I learn.
I dont want to be anyone else but me.
This day in my life will never come again.
I will never see the people I am looking at again.
I will never see that sunrise again and I will never see that sunset again.
I will never see that person having breakfast with me again, in just this way.
Nothing in my life will ever come again.
